Here are some of the projects we are currently working on:

Broadway Debut!

2000-2002 has FSR making a lot of noise. We've created dozens of sound effects, recreated old radio shows, and recorded music for Rupert Holmes' new play, Say Goodnight Gracie. It's Pre-Broadway run starring Frank Gorshen has played to sold out houses in Miami, Cleveland and Ft. Lauderdale.

The Male Intellect : An Oxymoron :)
This past fall comedian Robert Dubac brought his unique insights into the male psyche to FSR for us to mix and edit. The result is the hilarious CD, Inside The Male Intellect. This material was taken from DAT recordings of variuos live performances in San Francisco in 2001 and edited using Steinberg's Cubase 3.7R2 and Wavelab 3.04. The final mix was mastered by David Torrey at DRT Mastering.

Strike Up The Band!
FSR has been busy at work creating sound effect's for Martin Charnin's (of Broadway's Annie fame) new directorial effort which hit's the road in 2002.

Meghan Cary's latest release!
June 2001 saw the release of Meghan Cary's Onion Dream to rave reviews! The 14 tracks on this new CD were co-produced by FSR's Owner and Chief Engineer Kevin Lacy. The tracks were recorded on 1" 16 track Analog and 24-Bit Digital in a variety of studios, including FSR, and were mixed down at 24-Bit resolution using Cubase 3.71R2. This is the first in what should become a long line of 24-Bit recordings done at FSR. You can find out more about Meghan and Onion Dream at www.meghancary.com.

Blank Fest is back!
This past December 16th, saw the return of Blank Fest to Bruxelle's Bar in Nyack, NY. Local musician, Kenn Rowell, founded this event as Nyack's own community-level effort to help New York City's homeless. The cover charge at the door was one blanket of any kind in any condition. On Christmas Eve, volunteers loaded their cars with the 100+ collected blankets and passed them out on the streets of Manhattan to ANYONE who seemed to be in need of some warmth. FSR donated equipment and time to provide live sound for the entire 13 hour event. More information about this worthy cause can be found at http://www.blankfest.org.

FSR Goes Mobile Again!
On December 7th & 9th, 2001 FSR brought 2 ADAT XTs and our Panasonic SV-3700 DAT Recorder to St. Mary Church in Greenwich, CT to record the St. Mary Church Choir's performance of Christmas Music for Chorus and Orchestra. It will be mixed later this year for a December 2002 release.
